- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆The most horrible, negligent home insurance office I've ever encountered. Filed a claim in Jan 2016 after massive? windstorm, winterstorm that left our ridgecap lifted. This led to water coming in our home. Took months for Farm Bureau St Maries ID office to get a claim adjustor over, then he gave a faulty claim response. Months later after bring with FB a year I change insurance who does inspection and says the roof is damaged and they wont cover. I go back to FB and demand they relook at our claim again. Now August. It takes them two months to decide to hire an engineer. Engineer tells us it is wind damaged when he is at our home. Then FB denies the claim still but offers a compromise settlement (a joke) we have a roofer come over who looks at roof says yep its wind damage. So here we are October and rain rain rain and our entire inside of our roof along ridgecap is leaking into our home. It will cause sheetrock damage and likely mold. Contacted FB supervisor of the adjustor with no help at all. Walked into st maries office for copies of policy and they know its covered but treat us like garbage. Bib Stowell wont show his face in the matter and when we told him we cant get coverage over tgos he refuses to reinsure us. So now weve had to contact lawyer. Snow is immenent in the near future and we have four kids one a baby, and we have water coming in our house.We pay insurance for over a year and get treated like this from st maries id farm bureau. I dont know how they sleep at night. Shame on them. Shame on them for refusing to insure us too. They are a con. Will take your premium every month and then abandon a valid claim with phony claims adjustor who offer pathetic compromise settlement in place of what is a covered and valid claim.By Amie Walker, March 30, 2017
